One of my favorite animals is the octopus—smart, agile, and always adapting colors, this creature is a rare treat to see in the depths…and my client feels the same way.

The number ‘8’ is represented with two pliable arms, with the remaining six more transparent in the background. We tried out various iterations for the head and eyes and landed on this bright-eyed rendition.

The colors are soft and feminine for this woman-owned business, using a guava to teal gradient. We used Como as the typeface—a simple, sans serif curved font with no angles or hard lines (much like a smooth octopus!).
