And Now, Your Freebie
I’ve read a lot of books that don’t float my boat, but the ones on my list are all tomes I could spend an entire day with my nose in. My gift for you is a list of some of my favorite books that will open your mind and inspire your imagination.
Reading is important to creativity for several reasons
- As you read, your brain is conjuring images and visualizing information in order to process it. This brainwork is creative in and of itself.
- You are getting exposed to new ideas and information that your brain will ‘riff’ on later.
- Immersing yourself in another person’s perspective or story gives you a break from reality and lets you unwind and relax
There are so many other benefits to reading – it is a vital part of anyone’s creative practice. I’ve tried to include a variety- quick reads, fiction and non-fiction. Download my list below and settle in with a title that suits you.
