Educational Logo Design

The Spiritual Competency Academy is rebranding! They wanted a logo that would represent spirituality and positive psychology and convey the idea of high-quality content. They wanted to represent trust, open-mindedness, and be holistic, inclusive, and expansive.

Just before I created this logo, I learned about (and became a bit obsessed with) the Zen Enso, a circle that is a manifestation of the artist at the moment of creation and the acceptance of our innermost self. It symbolizes strength, elegance, and one-mindedness.

I proposed this circle that included the pathway and subtle cliffs that one of our iterations had included. The pathway hints at ‘the way to knowledge’, it weights the bottom of the circle, and balances the piece. I applied a just a slight gradient in the blue and the gold to convey ‘light’ and enlightenment.
