Winter Reading List

In addition to the beginning of the holiday hustle, there has been a lot of craziness in the world lately. I don’t know about you, but there is a seat on the Struggle Bus with my bum print on it (see my previous posts about anxiety and how this time of year is hard).

My refuge in the evening is reading. I get to lay down and let my mind be taken away to another land, totally in the hands of the author.

Hugge Time

I’m learning what a natural fit the ‘hygge’ lifestyle is for me in the winter. Instead 0f dreading the dark time of year, I’m working on looking forward to sparkling lights, warm sweaters and fire-side evenings (not to mention popping vitamin D like it’s candy). Reading is a big part of this for me, as I let my body rest like it wants to, I don’t quite want to turn my brain off yet… so I read.

This is a list of my favorite books lately. Print it out and hang it up if you want (I made it purdy for you!). I go for mostly uplifting stories that are told with intrepid language and panache.

I would love to hear what you are reading that is good, too!
